I approached the Graduate Certificate in Literacy Instruction with a critical eye, as I've taken many courses in the past that didn't quite live up to my expectations. But I'm pleased to say that this one exceeded my expectations in many ways. The course content was thorough and well-researched, with a clear focus on evidence-based practices in literacy instruction. I appreciated the opportunities to analyze case studies and apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios - it really helped me deepen my understanding of the subject matter. The course materials were also of high quality, with plenty of resources and references for further learning. If I have any suggestions for improvement, it would be to include more diverse perspectives and examples - sometimes the content felt a bit too Anglo-centric. Nonetheless, I'm happy with what I achieved and would recommend the course to others.
